Antiquing in Wisconsin

Discover treasures when you go antiquing in Waupaca County, Wisconsin

I am still learning so much about my own City as well as the communities that surround us.  Living in the heart of Waupaca County puts us in a great location to be where the action is in no time at all.  Tim and I were on the hunt for an antique piece of furniture to use for a beverage center upstairs, where our guests could enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or cocoa at their convenience.  So we took in several antique shops in the area and found what we were looking for at Elmdale School Antiques just off of Hwy 45 outside of Clintonville.  It is indeed an old school house that they have turned into an antique store and there are many finds to be had. We have also taken in and acquired some of our treasures from Danes Home Antiques in Waupaca.  The Danes Home is in a beautifully restored building in downtown Waupaca, it is three floors of consignment antiques, lighting, accessories, doors, hardware and many other interesting treasures.  You not only can check out all the wonderful finds, yet also appreciate the architecture and restoration.  A spot that is open again, after being closed for 10 years is The House of George antiques, located at  N2601 Cty Hwy QQ, 1 block south of The King Veteran’s Home, they have finished remodeling their 92 year old building and encourage you to come and check it out. They also offer framing and bindery and Victorian books. Check out their website http://thehouseofgeorge.com/ for more details.

There are always finds and hidden gems to be had all over Waupaca County, these are just a few.  Come and explore for yourself and see what hidden treasures lie in Waupaca County.
